  An Ae Dupondius of Nero issued under Claudius, 
  51 A.D. 
  Only a very small handful of these coins are 
  known, this is amongst the rarest of all Nero 
  bronze coinage depicting the future emperor as a 
  young boy. The coin is worn but details are 
  still visible on both obverse and reverse. Sear

  Young, bare-headed and draped bust of Nero left.
  Reverse: SACRED COOPT IN OMN CONL SVPRA NVM EX S 
  C.
  Simpulum and lituus above tripod and patera.
